To restore the cluster database on a local node

  1. XOX
  2. The Backup or Restore Wizard starts by default, unless it is disabled.

  3. Click Advanced Mode on the Backup or Restore Wizard.
  4. Click the Restore and Manage Media tab, and then in Click to select the check box for any drive, folder, or file that you want to restore, click the box next to System State.
  5. Click Start Restore.

This will stop the Cluster service on the local node and restore the cluster configuration (the cluster registry file ClusDB located in the systemroot\cluster subdirectory) for that node.

For more information on backup and restore procedures, see "Backing up and restoring data" in Related Topics.

  6. Reboot the node when prompted.

Rebooting the operating system replaces the cluster configuration file currently in use with the restored copy.

  7. Verify that the Cluster service restarted on the local node.
